Current NSCAP Projects
Current projects include:
- A scoping study starting in spring 2012 on trans-generational trauma, funded by NIHR FSF funding from Leeds PFT, in preparation for an NIHR bid for an RCT feasibility study on the use of psychoanalytic psychotherapy and treatment as usual for trans-generational trauma impacting on the parent-child relationship.
- Developing a flexible but rigorous tool for collecting base-line and post-course data, in order to evaluate systematically and comparatively all of NSCAP's training and its impact on participants' development on key objectives and indicators.
- A small scale evaluation project using integrated quantitative and qualitative research methods to inform the development of a three day training course on essential parent-child develoment for professionals such as children's centre workers, primary mental health workers, social workers, and school and youth workers, currently being piloted with health visiting teams from York and Harrogate.
