Working Therapeutically With Young People

A Training Programme in Adolescent Mental Health

This new development for the north of England will provide an escalator of training opportunities for professionals working directly with adolescents and young people.

The programme is specifically designed for those whose main interest or workload consists of work with young people. It covers the adolescent developmental process from a broad psychoanalytic perspective as well as taking into account biological and social influences on development. The programme provides an introduction to the problems and disturbances of adolescence.

"Adolescents pose a challenge to all who work with them. This programme explores ways of working with young people and offering an effective service for them.”

For further information about the aims of this programme please see the flyer below. The short course advertised in the flyer has now happened but we are hoping to run similar events in future. If you are interested in future events please let us have your details.

From September 2008 NSCAP is launching a year-long postgraduate level course aimed at those working with adolescents across a range of settings. Information is now available about this course and we are inviting applications. Please see documents below.
