Following the advance notice last week of a second round of NSCAP Clinical Training applications, there will be an "Open Evening" virtual event on Thursday 2nd July, 6.15 - 7.30pm.
Dr Rajni Sharma, Clinical Training Programme Director, welcomes you to attend the event if you are interested in applying to the programme (please see below for information on eligibility requirements). This will be an opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the Clinical Training at NSCAP.

Professional Doctorate in Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy
Following the Health Education England announcement of additional training places for NHS Clinical Psychologists and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists, there is an unprecedented opportunity for suitably qualified and experienced applicants to apply for a second NSCAP training cohort in 2020/21
Additional funding has been made available in the North of England for 4 Training Places on the 4 year Professional Doctorate: Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy; 2 in the Northwest and 2 in the Northeast / Yorkshire & Humber. The process of application is via the MyTap application portal, at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust.
Application deadline is Sunday 5th July 2020 with NSCAP interviews in the last two weeks of July. Training is expected to commence in January 2021.
All applicants must have completed a recognised course of study in Psychoanalytic Observational Studies, must be able to demonstrate personal suitability for psychoanalytic work and have substantial prior experience of working with children and adolescents in two different age groups, [under 5s(pre-latency), middle years (latency) and adolescence].
