Clinical Trainings

NSCAP delivers two distinct clinical training programmes. Both receive funding from the NHS Multi-Professional Education and Training (MPET) budget and lead to careers in the NHS and other public services.

Professional Doctorate in Child Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy is the NHS training in child and adolescent psychotherapy and leads to registration with the Association of Child Psychotherapists. All applicants to the clinical training must have completed a recognised course of study in Psychoanalytic Observational Studies.

Inter-cultural Psychodynamic Psychotherapy is part two of the Qualifying Course in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy for work with adults and leads to registration with the British Psychoanalytic Council. Applicants to the training must have completed the Foundation Course in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
